After the successful launch of Ippudo SG, its first branch at Mandarin Gallery, IPPUDO collaborates with renowned Japanese Drum Group, TAO, and opens its 2nd outlet IPPUDO TAO at UE Square.
Ramen, like drums, is part of Japan’s intrinsic culture. Ramen chefs perform, as drummers do. The art of ramen is acquired through discipline, hard work and a desire to move and satisfy its consumer. A TAO performance is a visceral art that moves its audience. The collaboration between Ippudo and TAO was born out of a passion for Japan’s traditional cultures and a desire to modernise them and share with the rest of the world. Both Ippudo and TAO see the world as a stage where they entertain and put smiles on people’s faces.
IPPUDO TAO is a synergy of two Japanese traditions: ramen and drum performance. It is a collaboration that tells a tale of passion, strength and vitality; through the rhythm of drums, and the exquisite flavour of ramen. At IPPUDO TAO, one can enjoy TAO’s live performances via a huge screen while having ramen that have been created exclusively in the spirit of TAO.
TAO.Kuro is a thick noodle variety that signifies the dynamic spirit of TAO, while TAO.Aka is a bold, red spicy miso variation signifying the passion of TAO. The menu also offers the classic dishes of Ippudo as well as kushiyaki (Japanese grill) dishes that are unique to the outlet.
